VIDEO, IN SPANISH, ON HEPATITIS C

Latino Organization for Liver Awareness (L.O.L.A.), founded in 1994 by Debbie Delgado-Vega, is the first national bilingual/bicultural voluntary organization dedicated to raising awareness, prevention, and education to the Latino community and other underserved populations who suffer from liver disease. L.O.L.A. has helped over 15,000 Latinos who otherwise may have died due to lack of information and also provides a treatment referral service. Much of this success is due to L.O.L.A.'s continuing educational efforts which approaches Latinos in the culture and language they understand on issues related to liver disease, hepatitis, and organ and tissue donation.
